Which side of bus has best scenery from Anchorage to Whittier?

We will be using a motorcoach transfer from the Anchorage airport to the ship in Whittier. Which side of the bus should we sit on to see the best scenery?

We are doing a Princess transfer, which will be similar to what you describe. I'll bet either side will have great views.

The right side is the best for views of Turnagain Arm and the glaciers at Portage, the left side gets the best views of the Alyeska ski area and the approach to Whittier.

Easier term....on the same side as the bus door will get you better scenery heading to Whittier.

Folks, the road isn't that big, mainly 2 lanes down and back, with some 4 lane thrown in.

 

Basically on the way down to Whitter, if we are talking main road, you have mountains on the left side and the inlet on the right side. So if you want to look for the mountain sheep go left, if you want to look for beluga whales go right (side of the door).

 

Now once you get on the road to Whitter you'll take it towards Portage and then again for the hanging glaciers right side, valley and streams left side and then you you'll drive through the tunnel and it won't matter what side :)
