Zip lining in Belize?

We are looking at planning our 2012 cruise and it is possible that we may be going to Belize.... my boys want to Zip Line..... are there any options there? are they safe? please help.

We went to Belize on Carnival Dream in November 2010 and we chose to book our exursion through the ship since it was a tender port and it was our first time there, we didn't want any mishaps and we wanted to be covered incase anything happened. We took part in The Lost World Canopy Tour with Carnival and we had a blast. The ride to the site was roughly an hour and fifteen minutes. Once we arrived they took us to the first site where we got our equipment and the tour guides hook everything for you so you have everything on right. We then hiked for roughly 15 minutes, nothing bad. We were given a quick course as to how to hold our hands, how to stop ourselves, and what to do if you stopped short of the landing area. We had 5 rope courses, all of different lengths, and we also had to rapels. I never once felt unsafe and the workers were wonderful. There was also a grandma and grandpa that was doing the zipline and they accomodated them very well. I would highly recommend doing the zipline through the ship while at Belize.

We used Nacho & Cynthia several years ago. They don't get a lot of mention in some of the threads but they were great. Nacho was always concerned about timing and ensuring we got back to the port in time. He got our lunches to go to make sure. (The time issue was our fault, we got delayed getting our tender time; a first-timer's mistake.)

After the great experience with them, I use the cruise line's excursions as the last option.
