Divnesq Posted March 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2011 I will be taking a cruise the first week of May out of San Juan and visits St. Maartin, St. Thomas, Tortuga, and Bermuda. I want to dive in two ports (if I had my way it would be all, but that is a little too pricey). If given the choice of these ports of call which two would you dive from.? Thanks for the help! scubadiver888 Posted March 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2011 There isn't any good diving in San Juan. All the good diving in Puerto Rico is on the other side of the island. St. Maarten isn't a great place to go diving. St. Thomas is a good place to go diving. I have not been to Tortuga or Bermuda. With that said, I'd probably go with St. Thomas and Tortuga. I've heard good things about Tortuga and Bermuda is probably going to be a little rough and silty in May.
parasailor Posted March 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2011 In St. Martin, check out Caribbean Dive College--very nice people, reasonably priced and very close to the cruise pier. In St. Thomas, try Coki Beach Dive Club.
