shore excursions in grand turk

Our adult kids did this excursion in Grand Turk on a Carnival cruise, and they were all very disappointed. They didn't see much more than seaweed through the clear kayak, and the eco safari part didn't even happen. They were on a beach and were told to just go look around. No guided tour, nothing pointed out to them, or anything like an eco safari. It could be different with Princess, but the ships often use the same tour operators on the islands.

Margaritaville has a captive audience right off the ship! It was nice having the beach to walk to right off the ship. However, when we were there, the beach was full of smooth coral or rocks. It was difficult entering and exiting the water. This was not a favorite port of call. I agree that there really isn't much to see or do on Grand Turk.

Definitely not much to see...................the kids might like looking for conch shells - on the beach (on the ship - looking towards the island - walk to your right)............it's a nice walk and plenty of shells that wash up on shore. The island has so much potential but they were hard hit by a hurricane in the last year or two.
