Booked freedom, princess cruiser needs help

I once asked for help with the Valor, but changed to Freedom in September. Mom and I are older (60's and 80's). Beside casino on sea days are there many INSIDE activities for us. Also, booked 9/4 (Labor Day weekend) and wondered if most kids will be going back to school that week; otherwise, I may change to 9/18. Any help is so appreciated.

Most kids should be back in school by Labor Day weekend, but you never know if parents will pull them out to take advantage of that one last holiday.

If you wait until 9/18, you will have a much better shot at having fewer kids and families on board. I'm guessing that even the demographic will be a closer to your age just by waiting that couple of weeks.

If anything, Carnival will have more inside activities than Princess does. I use both lines, with the preference being Princess.

If you have not been on Carnival before, as Im sure you've read, the decor will be loud compared to Princess ships and the passenger flow isn't as good (which shouldn't really be an issue in September). This being said, the Freedom will have the "wow" factor that Princess ships don't have with its impressive Atrium, Dining Rooms, and Theater.
