I am going on the GEM cabin 11504, is this balcony enclosed/sheltered or open, the pictures look like the balcony is not fully open?

I'm not sure, but you spend so much time on shore that this is one of the ports you really don't have to worry about the view from your cabin.

This balcony has a roof directly above that extends out as far as your rail. You will find it convenient as items left on the balcony will not get soaked in the rain. The only balconies on the Gem that are open to the sky are the forward facing suites on deck 9 & 10.

Does anyone know if the balcony dividers between the cabins can be opened. We are sailing on the Gem also and have connecting cabins and I was wondering if the dividers can open??

But what about the trip over and back?? We are looking at this area of cabins and also wondered.
