Uxmal when you're preggo

The ships description says there are no bathrooms there - that could be a deal breaker for a pregnant lady that needs the lav.

Can anyone confirm that there are or are not toilets available.

 

I thought best to go with Uxmal rather than Chichen for the slightly shorter length and availability of shade.

Of course there are restrooms available at the site! enjoy it :)

There are good clean washrooms at Uxmal before you go on the tour. Once inside, there are no washrooms but the tour takes an hour - hour and a half, so you should be OK. The thing you may want to consider is the HEAT. Was there today and it was a scorcher, and we are not even in our hottest time of the year yet!

There's the shade that's created from the buildings, but in the middle of the summer it's still going to be very hot. Make sure you bring plenty of water and a wash cloth always helps to cool you down too.

 

I would also like to mention that there is a section that has very steep stairs. An older couple was able to make it, but you just have to be careful. If you don't want to risk it, you can always just skip that area though.

Crazy hot there on March 30th. A great place to visit but we had tour members dropping like flies from the heat. Be prepared and take it super easy.
