crzyjack Posted March 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2005 We'll be on the AOS on 3/13 and are first time cruisers. I enjoy an occasional cigar when on vacation, and do not want to offend anyone while doing so. Can someone please tell me where it is "acceptable" while on board. I have the understanding that there are different "rules" for cigar and cigarette smoking. Is this true? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. pltag Posted March 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Speaking for non-smokers, I appreciate your concern. We were just on the AOS and had a great cruise. As for your cigar, there is actually a specific lounge (The Conniseur (sp?) Club) designated as a "cigar lounge". Have a Great Cruise!
crzyjack Posted March 9, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Thanks pltag. Are there any other bars/lounges where it is allowed? What about open air decks ? Any rules/regulations with them ? Thanks.
pltag Posted March 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Again, sort of guessing here since this is one vice I have managed to avoid! :D There are smoking areas in all of the lounges. I don't remember "No Pipe / Cigar" signs, they might just leave this up to your discretion. You can also smoke in open air areas. One side of the deck area is supposed to be non-smoking, but I don't think this is posted, there just aren't any ash trays. Casino is always pretty smoky!
