terryde Posted March 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2005 I haven't seen any recent info about this - can anyone provide a recent review? It is the one right across from Dzul-Ha.
Zeno Posted March 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2005 I was there in Dec 2004. We enjoyed it. it is located literally just across the road form Dzul Ha and they have set up some of their chairs right on the beach at Dzul Ha. The grounds are quite pretty - lovely pool and garden. There are showers (outside and inside - the outside is warmer -heated by the sun) and washrooms and lockers and loungers around the pool. There is a small snackbar. Snorkel gear is available for rent. The staff were friendly and helpful.
jewelrylady Posted March 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2005 Is there any beach area (or rather sand area) on the beach or is it just rocks?
LuciaA Posted March 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2005 Is the Dzul Ha Beach Club open these days, or just the Palmar Estate facilities?
CozSally Posted March 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2005 Both are open.
CozInsiderJacq Posted March 11, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2005 There is a beach area however it is not a "sandy" beach but more rocky. That's the type of area you want to look for if you want great snorkeling. There are many great "sandy" beaches about 4 or 5 miles further South of Dzul Ha area. ScubaMare Posted March 12, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2005 Dzul Ha is an AWESOME spot for snorkeling. And PalMar Estate Beach Club is the perfect spot for refreshments, snacks, a dip in a pool, etc. And, if you're at the club in late afternoon, it's the perfect spot to watch the sunset! rosiesunshine Posted March 15, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Do you think a 6 year old who is a pretty good swimmer would enjoy Dzul Ha? Thanks!
