arkerlin Posted April 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2011 Has anyone ever snorkled at the Hilton is Nassau? If so, can you give me some details on how it works? My Dad heard that they have good snorkling there and we're trying to decide if we want to go next month. Thanks!
G.C Posted April 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2011 We have stayed there several times. I guess it depends all on what do you call good. The water has been clear everytime. There are only a few rocks and most of the bottom is grass. I did once catch and release a small lobster there. There are fish to name few I have seen a Nassau Grouper camper out over a McDonalds salad bowl on the bottom. I did see several Trumpet fish and lots of small scholl fish. There is no living reef there. What you will find is a safe area to snorkel with fish to see. The hotel also has free water toys for guests. I have seen snorkel excursions taken to worse places. When in Nassau try Stuart Cove`s place for snorkeling and other water excursions they are the best on the island lots of options. They will pick you up at the front door of the hotel for free. Maybe discover scuba? Enjoy your trip where ever you go!
