roy118 Posted April 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2011 Has anyone bought the photo package on Ventura? is it worth having, number of photos etc... We thought it would be nice to have a set of photos in an album due to it being a special holiday celebration. We wouldn't have so many otherwise of the two of us together. What photos do they take? is is just at the meals or do they take them round the ship - not sure how it works.
feebee_71 Posted April 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Am not sure which photo package you are thinking of as there are a few on offer. The best one I saw someone taking advantage of cost approximately £150 and allowed them to have a copy of every photo they featured in. And this couple had a pile of photo's about an inch or more thick. If you go round on a formal night you will find 2-3 different settings for photos - Piano, staircase, backdrop. Then there's the sailaway photo's, those taken at the gangway in all the ports and those taken on some of the excursions; there are one's taken on party nights on deck, at Welcome Aboard reception or other events you attend. They also offer backdrop shots on other nights and the like. I think the package also includes photos of children if they are part of the group so there would be things that the youth crew do with them. When you think that an average formal night photo is £15 (or thereabouts) and the standard event photo's are between £6:95 and £8:95 so it doesn't take that many pictures to cover the cost of the package. There are also other packages that cost less and give a fixed number of photos. Feebee_71
roy118 Posted April 10, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi it was the £150 one, just wasn't sure how many photos were taken, i will be getting this package. thank you roy
capasamari Posted April 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2011 If you will definitely want all your photos, try and have a look at the shots on the photographer's camera as they take them to make sure they are reasonable e.g. eyes open etc. Too often we would have liked a photo but when they go on display it's not been worth paying for because of details like this. If they know you will be paying for the package they ought to oblige. £150 for a commemorative album for a special occasion cruise is a good price compared to what we paid for my son's wedding photos, and as you say you can both be in the pictures. winniesbestm8 Posted April 10, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hello How did you find out about the package? We want some photos taken of our children and ourselves, as we dont get many together. I would also like the digital images so I can get one printed on canvas, is this possibe? Emma
