We will be in Costa Maya in about one + weeks & are wondering if anyone has been thru the hole in the fence & visited this resort ?

I sent them an email last week & received no reply, so ?

We'd appreciate any recent input.

Sorry Will -- It has never come back from the hurricane. Just some sticks and no visible signs of life on our last 2 or 3 visits. Lots of changes to the port outside the gates.

Ohhhhhh that makes me sad! hung out there Feb before hurricane..such a quiet relaxing place! too bad! I see too that Mahuhal has been commercialized since the hurricane and not the quiet laid back place it was. That is sad too..loved it the way it was!

The previous photo in Post # 5 was from Jan 2010. Here's the one from Jan 2011. Not much of a change except the foliage is a little better.

We were in Costa Maya on the Carnival Dream this past week & there was NO sign of life at this place.

Nothing happening & all we saw was what was apparently a security guard on duty there.

Too bad as that was a rockin place at one time.
