mikeerdas Posted April 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Is it possible to purchase Carnival OBC with frequent flyer miles or hotel points? If so, which loyalty programs allow this? I have several FF mile accounts where I don't have enough for any flights. Would be nice to use those miles for OBC.

lesleyswimcoach Posted April 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2011 We had $1,000 taken off our cruise using Marriott Rewards. We had to book through the Marriott website and it cost us 140,000 points. I am happy with the choice. It is usually 25,000 points per night for super nice hotels and that doesn't include food. mikeerdas Posted April 24, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks T2 and LSC. I've only got 50K Marriott points. Prefer saving those for hotel stays. But I've got some Delta and US Airway miles I'd love to get rid of. Too bad the only way to redeem other miles and points cruise-wise is as a discount off cabin fare. Nice option, but I'd love to just use some for a little extra OBC. Guess I could cash out my Delta Skymiles for a few AMEX gift cards, then use them for OBC.
