Splendour from Venice

We are sailing in the Splendour on May 23rd from Venice. We were looking at options to get to the ship from Piazzale Roma... are there free shuttle buses? I keep reading that there are, but when my TA checked with RCI they said there are not. If not, I assume the People Mover is an alternative, but would that require dragging luggage from the PM station to the ship?

 

Also, the ship doesn't sail until the afternoon of the 24th. Does RCL offer a shuttle service from the ship or do we have to rely on our own transportation (i.e. vaporetti) if we want to get on and off? Prices?? Any info would really be appreciated.

You are probably better asking this over on the Ports of Call boards for Europe but it is my understanding that the port runs a free shuttle bus from PR to the port whenever a ship is in port. Otherwise the PeopleMover is only €1pp and this takes you to the port gates.
