Quick Truimph Review

My husband and I just returned last Saturday from a week long cruise leaving from New Orleans and sailing to the Bahamas. We had a wonderul cruise and a great time.

While the ship is older it was very clean. The staff were great, including our room steward and waiters. Actually, everyone we had dealings with while aboard were very nice including the workers in the casino, excursion personal, guest services and the spa workers.

We had Anytime dining and we did have the same waiters for the entire week for dinner service which was wonderful. Our head waiter Sasa was funny, nice and very accomadating. The only thing I have to say is that our wait staff did seem more hurried than on previous cruises especially on the last few nights. I think they may have needed a few more waiters to help alleviate the problem.

The first port was Key West and we just walked around a bit because we had been here before. My husband had to buy some of the Key West cookies which are delicious.:)

We went to Freeport and I must admit that I didn't get off the ship this stop due to not feeling well, my RA was acting up. My husband had a great time walking around and then he joined me on the Lido deck where we played cards for awhile.

Our last port was Nassau where we both did some shopping and had a great time.

We had no difficulty finding chairs or loungers except for the last sea day where we did have to wait awhile to find a seat to eat breakfast.

The only difficulties we had on the entire cruise was one morning I was in line for the bacon and waited about 10 minutes (that wasn't the problem) and as soon as the bacon arrived I was swarmed by some men who put their plates in front of me and behaved as if I wasn't there, no biggie but just plain rude. The bacon police person did apologize to me even though it wasn't his fault at all.

My husband had difficulty in trying to find information in regards to golfing at the shore excursion counter, even though they don't offer golf as a shore excursion he did think that someone would have some information as to where he might find a place to play.

We met some wonderful people while aboard this cruise and had the relaxing time we so needed. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

I'm glad to hear you had fun. We're on that one on June 11. Thanks for the quickie review. Where did you shop in Nassau? Where did he shop in Freeport? We are going to Hemmingway's house in Key West and to the southern most spot bouy. And I want conch salad and chocolate covered keylime pie on a stick.
