Hi! I've been reading threads here for months finding great advice! In August, my boyfriend and I will be on the Carnival Pride. One of our ports of call is to Nassau. We get there and 7am, and leave at 1pm. Does anyone have suggestions of what to do for that short time? Will the Sheraton/Wyndham let us buy day passes for their beaches? Thanks in advance!

I know the British Colonial Hilton has a Day Pass and I "think" they are within walking distance to the pier. Last I checked cost was $55 but that included $30 worth of food from the grill and use of one of their towels (so you don't have to lug your big Carnival towel). For the Sheraton, you'd have to take a cab.

Here is the Hilton's info:

Strange that they would get in so early.

Go to the port of call pages for more info on what to do.

I would not suggest doing anything that is not through carnival. 7 am to 1 pm doesn't allow for much leeway in being late back to the ship.

We are probably either going to Senor frogs or snorkelling excursion.

They also have that cool segway tour

We walk down to the corner and catch a water taxi to Atlantis. It is about 10-12 minute ride. Then we walk to Atlantis which is about 5-7 minutes. WE go to the Casino and walk around. We have done it a dozen times. I love the Atlantis. Never had any problems. We are always back in plenty of time.

I'd take the water taxi ($4pp) to Paradise Island, walk to Cabbage Beach enoy the day then take a cab ($5 pp) back to the ship, you get two scenic views with naration and totally enjoy the moment, and you get back to the ship fast.

We are also going in August (14th) when are you goin?. We plan on taking a walking tour going to the queens staircase, a fort, water tower then ending at the pirate museum. Probably do a little shopping at the straw market, a drink at senor frogs then back to the ship.

If you want to do the beach the hilton will be your best bet, it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the ship.
