St John CCL vs Freedom

Normally the cruise line's tours are more expensive and much shorter than the independant local tours. Here, CCL's ten best is $90 and 6.5 hrs and Freedom's tour Fundy Sea to Coast is 5 hrs and $75.

Can anyone give their experience with either one for comparison? Is CCL's in big busses vs small vans. Usually the local's give a more intimate tour. Is this the case here

Freedom tours consistently gets positive reviews and I'm sure you won't go wrong with them. The ship's tour is also proved my locals - most likely by Aquila Tours: http://www.aquilatours.com/ - also a very reputable business.
