What to do in belize with children?

What do you recommend in Belize City with children ages 6-10? They are all good swimmers.

Do a snorkel excursion out to the reef(s). We've enjoyed - with our kids - the 'shark alley' snorkel trip to quaint Caye Caulker using Coral Breeze http://www.coralbreeze.com

Cave tubing is popular and safe, but the bus commute is lengthy 3 hours round trip which equals fidgity boredom with children. They'll like boating more (plus IMHO the reefs are world class and the caves [albeit pleasant] are not).

There is a lot of hand craft stuff peddled outside the cruise terminal 'village'. That won't doesn't take much time - but the kids will find something cheap interesting and locally crafted... Enjoy!
