Rita's Cantina for Lunch the Day we get onboard?

Does anyone know if it is possible to just show up at Rita's Cantina for lunch the day we board (I know there is a $7.95 pp surcharge) or do we need reservations? I'm considering this, if all of the free venues are crowded.

On the daily planners that I have seen posted, both Rita's and Giovanni's are open for lunch on sail away day. They don't take reservations for lunch at Rita's.

Actually they do take reservations for lunch at Rita's. Had them for my cruise back in January and for next month. Most times you don't need one for lunch. Especially on the first day.

Most do not know it is open the first day so no ressie's required. You will have the best servest at this time as it will not be crowded.
