Why not do the ship tour? Not as long as the one Jim references, but I doubt the scenery gets any better than what we enjoyed.....fabulous waterfalls, goats meeting our boat, incredible Pulpit Rock from below, idyllic farms and cottages along the truly beautiful shore and a stop for waffles, sour cream and strawberry jam and coffee at the neatest waterfront restaurant you can imagine.....this was a special trip to see an enduring memory of Norway. I'd do it again in a flash! Be sure you have enough time for that longer cruise. Ours was about 3 to 3 1/2 hours and was perfect. Hi Penny, whilst the time and waffles are certainly a consideration, I believe that there is a great difference in cost between the tour offered by Cunard and the independent one, not that cost is everything but it is quite important.
