Parking alternatives for Port of Charleston

Parking at the cruise port is $15 a day. Any suggestions for an alternative lot with a shuttle or a reasonable hotel where we could leave our car?

I got beat to it! Yes lots of good places to "park and ride"... Having said that remember that once off the ship you gotta wait on someone to get you, transfer luggage a couple of times, etc. Some find it just as well to park at the pier and be gone quickly, headed home. I see you got about a 4 hour drive, might be worth the park and ride so you are here the night before.
