dwelsh Posted June 6, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2011 We sailed on Silver Shadow last year in January/February from LA to the Marquesas, French Polynesia, Hawaii to LA. The weather on this voyage was very cold for the first 3 days out of LA,and for the final 4 days on the way back to LA. We experienced very high gale force winds, 75mph, at times. The weather in the S. Pacific was pleasant at times but we had quite a bit of rain. In French Polynesia the weather was typically humid but pleasant for touring in a/c vehicles. The small ship, 350 pax, rode the swells fairly well but we love the feel of the ocean, not too good if you are very sensitive to the motion of the ocean!
