Megnolia Posted June 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2011 Hi :) We'll be doing a W. Caribbean with our 11 month old in December. Belize is a port I'm considering staying onboard due to the distance of the tender, and the area around the port being one I would rather not wander around with the stroller. Just curious though if anyone here has taken an excursion that they really enjoyed in Belize that was suitable for an infant? We're planning to do Chankanaab or Xcaret and Cozumel, and will probably take a beach day in Costa Maya and do Gumbalimba park in Roatan. I was thinking it would be nice to have a break for a day, but then if we do want to get off the ship for awhile, Belize isn't really a great place to do that... Any thoughts? JennLuvs2Cruise Posted June 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2011 Considering you'll have a baby in tow, I would recommend staying on board & enjoy the ship as it will be less crowded. I went to Belize last summer with my son who was 9 months old at the time & we just went back to the ship after a half hour of walking around. There just wasn't much to do or see without an excursion and a lot of the excursions are long bus rides, adventurous and simply not suitable for an infant.
RizzoLee Posted June 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2011 ditto - we'll have our 9mo DS with us in january, and will probably only go ashore if we're really bored. then again, this is our 3rd time in belize.
