Ever been stranded at Anchorage Airport?

I'm probably worrying needlessly but....

Last minute deal booked for a southbound Whittier to Vancouver...so last minute, I couldn't book a transfer from the airport to the ship in Whittier.

Princess on the phone tells me not to be concerned that I can just purchase a transfer from the Princess staff at the baggage claim area in Anchorage. I have done a last minute transfer purchase at other airports no problem but this time, I am worrying as the only other option is a 2 hr $200 cab ride.

Anyone ever heard of problems getting a last minute transfer from Anchorage to ship?

Or depending on when you arrive you can hitch a ride to the train station and take the train in to Whittier- I just booked my train tickets for the 25th (through Alaskan Railroad not through Princess). They were $65 per person vs the $89 through Princess.

The train leaves in the morning at 10am and arrives in Whittier at 12:05ish
