On-Line Check In

Hi there all and firstly as a first time cruiser thanks for the great reseource that these boards are!

Having managed to navigate through the on-line check-in system and enter all of the data the one question I have is around the credit card details that you enter (last 4 digits of CC#) to set up an on board account. If you enter a card and then print out the boarding pass do you have to use this card or can you change it when you arrive for your cruise?

Thanks in advance.

You can use a different card on the cruise. On P&O we were advised to just register one card if you have free OBC. If not one passenger may not use all their allocation if their spouse /partner is always the person going to the bar and using their cruise card so it could be lost. Register one card for the cabin and the OBC is pooled. Of course if you are friends etc you may well want to keep your finances completely separate.

I just completed my online check-in process. I remember seeing that if you change your card number (i.e. the last four digits), you will need to reprint the boarding pass. So if you want to use another credit card at the pier, you may need to wait for a while for the agent to update your record and reprint the boarding pass.

The last four digits of the credit card cited on your Xpress Pass must coincide with the last four digits of the credit card that you present to the Agent for imprint at check-in...

If you change your mind as to which credit card you will be using prior to the cruise, you may make the change and reprint the Xpress Pass on-line... If you change your mind at the pier, new paperwork will be prepared with the assistance of the Check-In Agent...
