Using the bus in Grand Cayman questions

After reading the great info. on using the bus that's a little ways away from the tender dock I'm really excited about using them. I do have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone will help me with. I see the directions on how to get there.

We want to go to the turtle farm.

Do I ask which bus goes there? Do I have to ask for the price ahead of time or is it posted? Do you pay when you get on the bus? Do they drop you off at the Turtle farm? And, when we get ready to leave, how do we know which is the buss and which are the shuttles, etc.?

Thanks so much for the help.

You alert the driver to where you would like to get off. They will stop as long as it is along their route. Seagrape beach is along West Bay (WB) Routes #1 & #2. Flag a passing bus headed back to George Town (GT) and they will stop for you.

Do I ask which bus goes there?

Sure. Just ask any of the drivers. Routes #1 and #2 both go into West Bay. The drivers can tell you which would be easiest for going to the turtle farm. Both routes pass the full length of Seven Mile Beach.

Do I have to ask for the price ahead of time or is it posted?

While prices to vary on some routes based upon how far you travel, a trip to Seven Mile Beach or the Turtle Farm should be CI$2=US$2.50 per person in each direction (ie US$5 round trip). Just ask the driver if you have questions about the fare.

Do you pay when you get on the bus?

It is customary to pay when you get off the bus.
