tabasco Posted March 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2005 We're looking at the Celebrity Galaxy - Has anyone cruised on an interior sky deck cabin?
wvufan Posted March 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2005 We were in 1242 for 14 nights last October, and loved it! It was the last aft inside cabin, and very convenient to outside deck, down to food, etc. Same cabin steward and quality of service as the higher class cabins. It was a test to see if we could be content in an inside cabin, and we are now booked inside for two future cruises (would only have been able to afford one otherwise). Enjoy:) OOOEEE:D :D Bob and Phyl
suntan Posted March 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Last February we were in stateroom #1217, which is located mid-ship. We found this deck to be convenient as you just had to walk down the hall to get outside. The Oasis Pool is only one deck down. The stateroom was roomy enough for two people who don't spend a lot of time in their stateroom except to sleep and get changed. The Galaxy, in my opinion, is the best ship Celebrity has. tabasco Posted March 21, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Thanks for the feedback - this way we can afford two connecting cabins and thought it would be OK to just walk out by the pool to see light. How was the movement up there, OK? The oceanview cabins jump quite a bit in price.

CajunLiner Posted March 28, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2005 Tabasco, we were on the sky deck in October in a sky suite (1232). We loved the sky deck. We were near the aft of the deck, very convienient to both the pools, and to the Oasis, and to the outside area. There were 4 of us--me, husband, and 2 children. We were a little cramped, especially when the kids bed was pulled out (it blocked the balcony door). Plus there was only 1 bathroom. Late nights for all of us forced us all to get ready in the morning----NIGHTMARE!!!!! When we were ready to leave the ship, we took an impromtu tour of the cabins across the hall from us, and we booked both of them on this upcoming TA cruise. They have an adjoining door, so kids have their own room and their own bathroom!!! Our location on the ship is exactly the same so we are very content. Surprisingly, the cost of getting the cruise for 4 people full price was cheaper than the 4 of us in a Sky Suite. We are very much looking forward to our TA in October!! Hope you enjoy your cruise as well. We loved the Galaxy!! Donna
CajunLiner Posted March 28, 2005 #7 Share Posted March 28, 2005 Tabasco, which state are you from? Tabasco is produced not far from us at Avery Island. Are you from around there? Donna
nsshel Posted March 28, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2005 Tabasco, We were aft on Sky Deck in Oct. Loved the location. We are looking at another this year and plan to do the same. We have no probs with an interior, though we didn't try one until the sixth or seventh cruise. If you use the buffet, you will really love it. doree Posted March 28, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 28, 2005 We were in 1217 and 1219 and are booked for the Jan 9,06 in 1219. We LOVE the Sky Deck and we do not have a problem w/ an inside. Very quiet up there on the C-Class ships. Have fun!
tabasco Posted March 28, 2005 Author #10 Share Posted March 28, 2005 We're From Texas - That's Why We Like To Cruise Out Of Galveston. My Son Likes The Buffet, So That Location Looks Good - He Just Grazes The Buffet All Day. I've Read They Have A Pasta Bar - He'll Like That As Well. On Our Last Princess Cruise He Ate Fetucine Alfredo Every Night In The Dining Room.
