All Inclusive Resort, Montego Bay, w/ Security

Excursion Help!

 

We've been to Jamaica twice before and, frankly, we're afraid to get off the ship again.

 

We'd like to find a nice, all inclusive hotel with pool and beach access, free drinks, great food, and security.... NO NATIVES selling things and touching your hair while you're just trying to relax. We would also like to avoid being crammed into one of those hot vans that pack you in and make you wait until every seat is filled.

We went to Sunset Beach a few yrs. ago. It was $60 per adult. It may now be $70 now. Children are cheaper. We felt very safe. Drinks were weak , food was ok but nice beach with snorkeling equipment , chairs and umbrellas ncluded in the price. It has a lazy river to float in and swim up bar. You do not need to make reservations just take a taxi there. They will keep one sail card per group. That made me a little nervous but had no problem getting it back. We went to Jamaica again last yr and it was raining so we went to Doctors Cave. Very different enviroment. It was a nice beach but we were bothered more to buy things and wasn't as safe. Cost is $5 to get in but you pay for everything else you want. Jamaica is beautiful. Just pay attention to your surroundings. Have fun!

There will be four of going to the beach soon - did you take a taxi to the resort and pay as you enter or did you make reservations ahead of time. The cost through RCCL is $125.00 pp - a bit much for a few hours of fun in the sun.

We are going to sunset beach first week of august. We booked thru Jamaica for a a day. The cost was $70.00 pp another $9.00 pp to ride the bus. A little high for the bus but hey what the hec, were are on vacation.:D
