First Tender to Belize

I'm a little worried about getting to Belize on time to meet our 7:30 tour. We did not book through Carnival and I'm really not sure about this process. If anyone has tendered recently, please let me know what your experience was or and sure fire ways to make it off on the first tender.

all the vendors tell everyone to make sure to get the 1st tender, they know the chance is that you will not make it to the 1st tender. 1st tenders are, usually: VIPs, suites and ship's tours. if there is room they will start letting others on. tenders are very big and move fast. as soon as one fills up, there is another one right behind it. they know they need to move fast to get everyone to port.

Other than VIPs and ship tours the tender tickets are handed out first come first serve. So get in line wherever they're handing out the tender tickets before they open. We didn't do this and learned the hard way. While we were enjoying a leisurely breakfast everyone else was getting the earlier tickets. It seems like we waited forever for our number to be called; so frustrating when you want to start your fun day ashore!

Good luck.

Also, check the time of your tour. Is it 7:30 Belize time?

If so, they run 1 hour behind ship's time EST and 2 hours behind EDT.

That means, if your tour starts at 7:30 Belize time you will actually treat it like 9:30 ship's time (in daylight savings months). Always go by ship's time when in port.
