TexasRCH Posted July 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2011 I'm a little late with the review but it still might be of intrist to someone. My wife and I cruise a lot with HAL and will naturly make some comparisons. This was a family cruise with three grown children amd five grandchildren. We prefer RCL for family cruises because there is more for the children. RCL has several things that HAL dosen't such as the Flowrider and Johnny Rockets which we enjoyed. The best thing that Freedom class ships have is the Presidential Family suite. This four bedroom, four bath suite is fantastic. Two of the bedrooms are masters with large beds, baths with tubs, and dressing areas. The other two bed rooms have two pullman beds and a small bath with only a shower. Living area has a corner sofa with hide-a-bed that sleeps two. It has a dining room table that seats six comfortabley The hudge balcony (approx 40X15 ) has a wet bar with a large refrigerator, private hot tub, table that seats six, and several loungers and chairs. We had the best photographer we have ever had on a cruise ship, Ms. Holly. We purchased the CD of all ships photos pre-cruise guessing it would be a good deal with 13 people and it was, with 180 photos. Personal on RCl was as good as any that I seen. Very friendly and helpful. Food was good and about the same as HAL but the selection was a little smaller. Chops was outstanding and Johanny Rockets was fun. The Dreamworks characters gave good photo-opps but the breakfast was not good, the food was cold. This was a great family cruise wit very good ports. Texmike Posted July 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2011 Loved Freedom Of The Seas when we went back in 2008 The breakfast foods in Windjammer are always cold-so we eat in the main dining room.

deckgal54 Posted December 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2011 We are sailing on the FOS in May 2012 and in the Presidential Suite. We are 4 couples who love to travel together and thought this would be a great idea. Are there bathrooms IN the 2 smaller bedrooms or are they in the hallway? Is there privacy/ doors that close in the 2 master Suites. Inquiring minds need to know! Thanks for any help or more details on the Pres Suite.
