Pulmantur Empress Sept 10-17

My wife and I are on Pulmantur Empress from Sept. 10-17 leaving from Helsinki. Just wondering if there is anybody who would be interested in booking a St. Petersburg excursion with us on Sept 11th and 12th.

My husband and I are definitely interested. We have just researched the options and am waiting for a reply from Alla tours who come highly recommended. Our time in St Petersburg is not great with the 11 am arrival but perhaps with several people then we could make up a group. Any other takers? We dont speak Spanish.

Very nice! I almost booked a Spanish excursion this morning off the Pullmantur website. Only problem is that we don't speak Spanish. We have also been looking at Alla Tours. Let's hold off, for a bit, to see if there is anybody else interested.

Reply from Alla. They dont usually do Empress. The arrival time isnt great I suspect. But they do have two other couples interested besides us and are waiting for reply from them. They will do the tour if there are six passengers for $300pp. Good deal I think. I was on Cunard recently and Alla was very well recommended by other cruisers. And my Spanish is limited to 'Hola'.

We are away from home till 15 August but have told Alla we want to go ahead if they can get the group. Are you staying in Helsinki? We are at the Radisson Blue Plaza for two nights.

We have also told Alla that we would be interested in the tour, for that price, as well. Sounds good!

We are arriving in Helsinki on the 9th in the morning and are staying in the Radisson Blu Royal. I actually had to check our reservation because I thought it was the same hotel as yours, but I guess not.

Just got back and printed the Alla tickets. The itinerary looks to do everything. I hope it is all feasible without too much rush or shopping stops. We have also just asked about doing the Tallinn tour. I checked our hotel too. We are at the Plaza though. The cruise tickets are jolly arent they? What does it all mean? As long as we find the pier I dont suppose we can go too wrong. We are in cabin H 8523 when we make it. You are welcome to call in if you wish. There must be other English speakers but they dont seem to be cruise critic members. We are away again till september 2nd so I'll check in when we get back home. Look forward to seeing you.

We are in room 9668 on the boat. I'm, personally, into doing as much as possible in St. Petersburg as we are only there for a short time. Yes, I agree, not much time shopping! Tallinn, we are doing the walking thing as everything, I believe, is quite close. My brother is doing the same cruise, different cruise line, tomorrow, so hopefully we can get some tips from him. Looking forward to meeting you as well. Kinda funny that the only prerequisite for meeting people is that they speak English! :) Hopefully, they can put a bunch of us together at dinner.
