Has anyone done the St John Trunk Bay beach and snorkle excursion

We're going in February and I'm just wondering if it is worth it. I've read that the snorkeling can be cancelled if there are swells, and I'm curious if there's a certain time of year that swells are more common?

We did the St. Johns/Trunk Bay excursion in March. The boat left from the cruise pier- then a jitney took us to Trunk Bay. It's a beautiful beach- was not at all crowded even though several ships were in St. Thomas that day. The only glitch- the tour was not well organized on the pier and we had to wait for stragglers to leave for St. Johns.
