KLS22 Posted March 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I have heard that there is some great snorkling at Tabyana. Would it be better to book through the ship or can you just catch cab and rent gear there?
Island Dweller Posted March 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2005 Tabyana Beach is a resort on West Bay Beach. The snorkling is accessible all along the beach. You can take a cab to West Bay Beach and rent gear at several places. Read the latest post on Dive Shops with regards to Bananarama, this dive resort is a 3 minute walk along the beach from Tabyana. A Sixth? Posted March 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2005 "Great" is too strong a word. But there is some snorkling there, in front of Tabyana. The whole beach from Fosters to Tabyana Beach resort is very nice for sunning and swimming, the only snorkling is however at Tabyanas. Fosters will be less crowded and is just a neat place, huts, board walks all looking like they're from the South Seas. Don't get taken by the Cruise Ship tours, it's A LOT cheaper to hire a cab with a few others (max $ 20.00 for the whole cab and we heard that that's the NEW tourit price)
