Espresso on the Epic

Ok, so maybe I'm a little odd, maybe even a lot odd. I have a full commercial espresso set up in my kitchen. The beans I use I have two day aired to me from a boutique roaster in Montana. Before they are roasted, he only gets beans picked by virgins in August during a full moon and when I drink the espresso I can tell if someone lied. Well I am being humorous but here is my question:

In looking at pics and videos I've seen a hand full of what look like Nuova Simonelli Appia 2 group machines throughout the ship. I don't recall ever seeing a grinder. Do they use ESE pods? Anyone know? It says they use exclusively Lavazza coffee but don't say if it is grounds or pods. Does anyone know what they use?

Thanks,

Paul
