Post cruise suggestion

Our ship docks back in New Orleans on a Saturday morning around 8 but our train does not leave until 1:45 so I want to tour the city but is concerned with dragging my luggage along while we tour the city, any suggestions on how to handle this? Is this safe? Also my luggage has wheels.

Go the station and check your luggage early then do as you please till boarding time.

From another board someone has stated there is a courier service just outside the cruise ship terminal. Rush It (phone 504-471-0080), they will drop you off somewhere and then pick you up at a designated place and time, keeping your luggage for you. I haven't called to confirm but the rates were stated as $25 per bag. This includes dropping you off at the airport. Seems like a reasonable deal.
