GenSteve Posted March 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2005 I'm on the Grand Princess - 6/7/05 My TA quoted a price of $130 pp for a transfer from Civitavecchia to the Rome airport at the end of the cruise. This is outrageous. I believe I can take the train from the port to Rome Termini and then take another quick train to the airport. This should be a cheap and efficient way. Any thoughts if this the best option or if others would work better? Has anyone done this and know the prices?
FredS Posted March 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2005 Go to the Ports of CAll board and look under the Europe section. You will find all kinds of thoughts on the train to Rome from the port. I have been looking on that board as we on the Manaus, Brazil to Rome trip next month. The trip from the port to Rome can take about 1 1/2 hrs and everything is high in Italy. Tania Posted March 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2005 For two people, Princess transfers are reasonably priced, fast and efficient after a cruise if you have a plane to catch right after the cruise. Whever we do one, I am amazed at the speed at which we are processed...they have it down to a fine art! For three or more, I would look into the transfers myself...$130 is very high!
