White Pass & Yukon Railway

Not a dumb question at all, it gets asked a few times each season....left side going up and right side coming down.

Do they stop the train on top to let people get off and take pictures? Do they force people to move from the 'good' side to the 'bad' side at the top so everyone get to see the views?

If you are going only to the summit you will flip your seat over and then trade sides with the folks on the other side. On the trip to the summit you no longer get off the train however there are lots of opportunities to step out on the platforms for pictures.
