Suggestions please for sightseeing & Snorkeling in Cozumel

We (family of 4: parents, one adult child, one child age 13) want to do both a sightseeing tour and go snorkeling. What would be the best shore excursion (or on our own) to do both of these? Things we want to see are San Miguel church and some Mayan ruins. We are all good swimmers and have snorkeled before, but don't have our own equipment.

Any suggestions from your experience on combining both activities in the alloted time in Cozumel gratefully appreciated.:)

Thank you.
