Conquest out of NOLA January 2012

Can anyone advise me on what is the earliest to book a flight out of NOLA on a Sunday to not be panicked or worried about making my flight but also not sitting at the aiport for 6 hours to go home?

On a Sunday, it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get from the port to the airport. There is some construction on I-10, but it happens mostlt late at night.

Please keep in mind that New Orleans has the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday, January 3rd and the BCS National Championship on Monday, January 9th.

 

Allow extra time if it January 8th. Also allow extra time if the Saints make & host the playoff games. This makes the downtown area crazy!!! Playoff games can be on either a Saturday or Sunday.
