April-in-NC Posted July 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2011 My parents are going on a Carnival cruise in a few weeks. My mom would like to go parasailing and she thinks my dad would enjoy it (he used to be a paratrouper in the Army) but we are both concerned about his limited mobility. Several years ago my dad had a stroke that affected the right side of his body. He can walk (slow and with a limp) and he can climb stairs (probably not a ladder though without serious assistance). The biggest concerns we have is getting dad from the pontoon boat to the speed boat and how "hard" the landing is. They want to book through Carnival but they are open to private tour companies. Any ideas? I've been to Grand Cayman but I didn't get a chance to parasail because it was booked. Thanks!
