starr52 Posted August 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2011 I read somewhere on these boards, what side of the ship to be on when leaving New Orleans in order to see the sites. Something about how the ship turned around under the bridge. Of course now, I can not find it. Any ideas?

Once out of the city, both sides offer viewing opportunities. On your return, (assuming we're talking about NCL Spirit and the Western Caribbean itinerary) be on deck about 11:30 pm and watch for Carnival's ship coming out of the Mississippi on her outbound journey. I guess if you're on the Carnival ship you could watch for the NCL ship coming in...either way! What's interesting is that the ships pass much more closely together here than they do anywhere at sea.
