Bathingsuits and Coverups

Does any1 recommend getting cute coverups for going to the pool from the room. Or do most people end up wearing the bathingsuit under cloths for the day and go from pool to the next ********. Not sure if I should spend $ on a coverup or not. Thanks.

When you leave the pool area and go back inside, I have found that the air conditioning can be freezing. I always take along a pull over sundress to cover my bathing suit. I would not be crazy about wearing just my suit around the ship, it's usually a good distance to walk to the pool and you may be sharing elevators with strangers. If you have a cover up on, you will be able to go right to the windjammer for lunch.

so a coverup is fine for walking around the ship..... shorts and and t-shirt isnt nessecary?

A cover up is acceptable. I wear one & I also eat lunch at the buffet in one. Have never felt out of place.

Thats good. Its my first cruise and I want to have everything figured out right. Im 15 so i am thinking of wearing somekind of tubetop coverup. I saw some cute ones at Filene's that will go on sale soon enough.

A pareo as a coverup is fine. Your ship may or may not sell them, but if they do, they'll be expensive. Wait until you get to port and you'll have lots to choose from.

Hilo Hatties also has instructions for tying your sarongs. I brought 5 to go with 5 matching bikinis and bought 2 more in Mexico! After learning to tie them differently, I wore them as inexpensive sun dresses also.

I wear tankinis so the top part looks like a regular tank top. I just throw on a pull-on black skirt and off I go! I doesn't look like a swim suit that way!!
