boatbunny Posted May 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2005 Hi Sandy, I know your post was dated a few months ago, but just for anyone who happens to stumble across this now: If you only have a little bit of time in Boston, I'd highly recommend from the Foodtv network list: Fanueil Hall, there are tons of little shops, restaurants (including great places to sample some of our famous chowda-so you can hit 2 things at the same time) as well as a great place to people watch. North End, again, big food attraction here, have lunch at Fanueil Hall and then head to the North End for some amazing italian pastry (Mike's is famous) for dessert. The amphibious boat ride referred to is called Duck Tours. You should be able to find a website if you Google it and make reservations. Honestly, the best bet to see the true Boston. You will have an excellend by land tour of the city going by some of the famous sites (and following quite a bit of the Freedom Trail by car) as well as a trip down the famous Charles River, right past Hahvahd Yahd (don't worry, you won't have to pahk the cah!) Boston Common is very nice, as well, you will be close to Beacon Hill, the State House, and our most famous bar, Cheers for a cold beer. So, if you are limited for time, those would be the top on the list to hit. (PS - We also have a great aquarium and the Science Museum is amazing as well)
