Will be there week of 9/10. Are there attractions we can walk to from the Port? We prefer not to go with a tour - would rather do it on our own. We are 4 or 6 adults. Thanks

There are some places you can walk to from the pier area (like the City Market) but I don't think you will find enough to do there to take up the whole day. You might want to look at this web site. This will take you out of the "town" and give you a good overview of the area without going too far. Good price too. There will be greeters at the pier area who can direct you to the General Store where the buses start.
