Lunch in Monte Carlo

We will have time in MC before we board the Legend next week. Can anyone recommend a place for lunch without breaking the bank? Also what time can we board?I have forgotten since our last trip.:)

If you like people watching...go down to the casino next to Hotel de Paris..and there is the ouddoor.. Cafe de Paris...just have a sip of your choice and order something for the palate. Gourmet?..probably not..but such fun ambiance..a real taste of famous MC. The walking street to the cafe is fun window shopping..all designer shops. We have enjoyed this for years. The Hotel Hermitage is at the other end of the street...and lunch there would be nice as well. Break the bank?..you are in MC...

If you want to push the boat out further (no pun intended!) then the terrace restaurant in the Hotel de Paris itself (Cote Jardin Terrace) is just wonderful. Great views & I've always eaten well here. They do a 3 course lunch for 49 euro (buffet starter/dessert & choice of mains) or you can just have a salad or pasta (around 26 euros) drinks are the same price as in the cafe downstairs. Considering salads in the cafe bar are the same price I think it's good value for the views. Having said that if you just fancy a quick bite then the escargots in the cafe are great, especially at 16 euro a bargain!

Boarding I believe is from 2pm but I've been told you can leave your luggage pier side & it's only a stroll there & back or you can use the batteau bus for ease.

Have a wonderful time - MC at this time of year is buzzing!

A relative leaving Monte Carlo on Legend today has just e-mailed me to say they boarded around 12.30, were given a drink and sandwich before being shown to their suite (no smell of smoke!) at around 1.15.

Happy cruising.
