Kids on Alaskan Sailings?

Does the Carnival Alaskan itineraries tend to have a lot of kids and decent kids' clubs (thinking more middle/high school ages)?

We are considering it but my kids want to know if they will be similarly entertained as they would be if we were to do a Caribbean route.

Any other tidbits about Alaska on Carnival you can provide?

We did a 2 week cruise the end of August. We did not see that many children on that trip possibly because of the start of the school year. It was chilly to cold with rain here and there for the entire trip except for our stay at Denali. We were on the Spirit which has an pool area that is covered and heavily used. The open decks were generally used for sightseeing not socializing. Night life was a little thin due to a port every day and most being exhausted. Seemed that there were very few kids roaming at night and few in their club area.
