i have booked on an oceania cruise in Dec. (35 days, Capetown to Singapore)and am on the waiting list for a safari to Thanga game reserve (south Africa). I woulkd like to know if anyone has booked a private safari (2 days) from a private company in Durban and what there experience was...... I would like to have a plan B in case we do not get the reservation at Thanga.. thanks...

We had a wonderful safari in Kruger National Park, which we booked through a company called Cardinal Leisure in South Africa: http://www.cardinalleisure.co.za/leisure-safari-lodges.php Vivienne was our contact and was fabulous! We staying in Tinga Private Game Lodges: http://www.tinga.co.za/lodge.cfm?Lodge_ID=2, but I'm sure that Vivienne represents other areas of South Africa as well.
