OK, so I know this is a cruising thread, but I would like to invite anyone who is a prayer warrior to join me in the morning.

 

A friend of my boss, well me too, has been diagnosed with a tumor the size of a fist in his sinus cavity area.

For 6 months they have been treating him for a sinus infection, then two weeks ago, they found this big old tumor.

 

So at 7am Pacific time Christmas eve (tomorrow) they will be starting the process.

The biopsy was inconclusive,

so if they start the surgery, and find that it is benign , they will continue to remove it ,

if they find other wise, they will have to close up and re schedule,

as they will have to do a more extensive removal....

Please join me in prayer, that God allows this thing to be benign,

that he comes though this with out permanent damage.

That his wife, young children, and family all have God's peace while waiting, to here the out come. That this be the Christmas Miracle we are all hoping for, and that God receive the Glory for ever and ever...

I on the other hand got to work 12 hours today:(, so I will start my Christmas here in about 20 minutes:D.

Still haven't heard back from Sherri, but I am going to email Rhonda with the Hotel Galvez on monday and contract for the rooms and get all the information for everyone to start making the hotel reservations. I will keep ya'll posted.

Good afternoon and happy boxing day SMDers! I hope everyone had a good holiday. Rich, I remember oh so well working Christmas day and all the other holidays for 25+ years. Now my DD and SIL get to work them. My DIL still works in a hospital but has the actual holiday off now. It's a rare day in this family to not have someone work on a holiday. It's a good thing really cause where would we go when we get sick on a holiday if no one was there??? As a matter of fact, my 4 yr old grandson was in the ER last night for severe dehydration. Some strange stomach flu type bug since last Wednesday, but no one else has gotten it. I was afraid he had appendicitis, but thankfully no.

Just finished watching the Air Force and Ga Tech game. I am a die hard Tech fan but my heart went to the Air Force as my son was in the AF. So Air Force won and I was excited. Tech sucked 4 turnovers. Now on to the Falcon and Saints game. Goooooooo Falcons!!!!!

FIU is down here in Miami. Their sports teams are gaining some notoriety lately but not all for the right reasons -- one of their star baseball players and several friends were just arrested in the Bahamas (at Atlantis) for allegedly raping 2 17 year old girls. Whether it was rape or not (she says yes he & friends say no), still not a pleasant headline for a college team.

Hi Madelene. They only college team I know about in Miami is Univ of Miami and they just took away our asst coach of the longhorns football team. So, needless to say, they will be a very good team.
