I finally have all the Christmas decorations down, all the left overs either tossed out or frozen, all the recieved gifts have been put away and Christmas 2010 is history.;)

Andy has the day off tomorrow so he's going to drive me to the mall so I can buy shoes and some unmentionables. :eek:

 

I bought Andy a wedding card and was very surprised that there was only one card at Target and one card at Walmart that was designed to give to your bride/groom. Is this not common practice? I put it on display for Andy to get the hint that he needs to give me a card. Yeah, real subtle huh? But I really want one from him because he does a fabulous job with cards always writing just the right thing.

Of course I didn't and still don't like Tech. In any event that Rookie quarterback did wonders. I love Minnesota as I love purple.lol

I have Mixed feelings about Vick...

I hate what he did, but I also think he did the time given him.

Might not have been enough, but he did what was given him.

He will answer to a higher power, and so shall we all.

I really want to hate him, but for reasons we all know,

I find myself wrestling with that.

I watched his remorse, and believe that it was as he said...

Childish, stupid, and cruel, and that he must grow up.

Not making excuses, but I believe there are cultures out there,

where Dog fighting, Cock fighting and "stuff" goes on.

It is all WRONG, but if that is what you grow up in,

(and I don't know that to be the case for Vick)

then maybe the Culture also needs to be held accountable.

At least he is going to said cultures where it is still alive and well,

and speaking to the Children there about how WRONG it is.

Rich, we already have our wedding license for Illinois. No chance in getting a flight, so if we left now to drive, what is the wait for a license? Many states are as much as 3 days.

 

No, sorry, too much planning. I meant to come across HAPPY about the weather. It's good luck for rain for the bride. 40s are better than teens that we've had had lately. Everything is inside aside from the 20 foot walk to the car to go to dinner (we have umbrellas, so who cares?) and there is complimentary valet parking at the restaurant. Everything is fine! :)

 

Speaking of the restaurant, they have prime rib with unlimited popovers! A New England treat in Chicago, how perfect for me!

 

This is my last full day being single. Any advice? Anything I should do (without being disrespectful to Andy)? I'm so excited. :)

And I agree 100% with Marie. Vick did his time. One of my Mom's favorite neighbors is someone who went to jail and came out clean. Lots of worry 15 years ago when he moved into the neighborhood. But he's been nothing but perfect and a kind person.

 

You do the time, and you show for a couple of years that you're a good person now, you're all good in my books! Vick has done that and he's one of the greatest players in the NFL. Look what he did against the Giants last week... that will go down as the best comeback in NFL history.

Off to work today...

Not going to be a normal day at work, as the Boss's Parents will be there working with me today.

Not a bad thing really, just not the same as working with the Boss.

We have our routine down pretty good,

working with both his parents, is kind of messed up.

One to many peeps at the counter, so I find other stuff to do,

but the one peep that should maybe NOT be at the counter (lots of mistakes, grumpy and slow) Is always there, doing all those things mentioned :eek:

Oh well, I have a cruise in a couple weeks, and they will be covering for me...

Everyone off the bandwagon on Vick doing his time. I couldn't stand the guy even before he went and did the dog deed. Then you have his brother Marcus that was arrested several times for drugs and got off on other charges. Gosh their mom must be really proud. Now I am off my bandwagon.:D

Gee wiz, Rich, you sure have not had much to clap about lately.lol My ex is a die hard Cowboy fan and I was the Redskin one. We use to have some good times when they played each other. Come to think of it probably the only good times.:D

I haven't stopped in to say hi for a while so thought I better before you all forget me :o! I'm super happy that Christmas is over and looking forward to heading to the beach next week for a short anniversary vacation with hubby. Of course, we'll have to hit the casino a little :).
