We are hoping that my FDIL will get another job soon so she will be able to take off for the Magic cruise, however, right now she works for a school and her Feb. week off is not this week like we thought it would be. So we just don't know. I told my DS that we would do something with them and will not let him nor my DGD down.

I am so very sad at this time but hey you never know something may change. I will still be keeping track of everything that is going on and keep posting but wanted to let you know ahead of time. I just found this out so it is as soon as I could tell you.

Just a quick note for now. Here is what I got back from Rhonda at the Hotel Galvez:

The cancellation is 72 hours prior to the arrival date. I can offer the rate for the post night stay for the group. If there is an interest in the post cruise stay, please let me know about how many you think the group has an interest in using.

Marie, I know just how you feel!! Coming home is always so depressing when it comes to meals!! I am so happy that your group went well, and that you all had a ball!!

This is sad news! But to be honest, Judie and I are in the same boat. Chances of us going are 85% I think. But as far as preparing for the cruise, I am still in. I will take care of all the arrangements I made, do the t-shirts etc. I am pretending that we are a 100% go!:p

Good evening ya'll. Hope everyone is having a good night (even though it's Monday).

Cathy p - say it isn't so:(. You will just have to inform the school board that you have a cruise scheduled and they will have to accomadate you and the family. If that doesn't work, then we will just have to boycott the school district! You can't get out of this one that easy. I do hope things work out the ya'll are able to go, because this cruise just won't be the same without you and Kenny.

Mimi (aka Ms Andy) - welcome back. We missed ya!

Marie - you should have told them that you forgot something on the ship (forgot to get off and stay off). Tell them you forget lunch:p.

Jen - Jerry Jones is selling tickets to attend the Superbowl outside the stadium. For the total price of $200 you can stand outside on Feb 6 and watch the game a large screen TV's. You also get a scarf. How many tickets to you want?

So now we have any and all problems with the hotel taken care of. If anyone wants to use the Hotel Galvez as a post cruise hotel, please let me know and I will let Rhonda know. This way, you can still get the group rate rather then paying the full price.

well, Nick asked point blank yesterday if I was done with Cruising now, so I couldn't fudge around with a bald face lie:eek:

So I told him, nope I have plans to cruise next year out of Galveston.

He said something like well maybe (indicating he might be coming?), where is that one going, and I said bascily the same places we just went. I reminded him I had brought Galvastan up before and he said to find someone else, (Dawn was standing there at the time) so I said I found someone else and her Hubby said she could go right off the bat, so she is my cabin buddy. Dawn just put on a big SMILE:D...Then he starts, well what if I want to go, blaw blaw blaw, so now I am waiting for him to decide LOL. I book him on the Liberty, and he backs out on me, I don't book him on the Magic, and he is wanting to go...Or is he just being a Butt Head, this is the true question...

Either way, it is out there now, and I don't have to pussy foot around the subject any more, Yea...Now for Chelle to let Louie in on our Cruise. If Nick does want to come, I will be up grading to a balcony, no way will he be happy in an inside.

so maybe Nick, Dawn, and I will just share a cabin.

You all made me cry when I read your comments. Thank you so much for you wonderful support. Who knows it may happen. I am just typing away like normal and praying it will. Kenny and I will just have to not do anything for a bit and save extra money so we can do something with my DS and this cruise. We shall see what happens. Who knows I may win the lottery and take you all on the OFFICIAL CHAT DIRECTOR CRUISE.lol

We are in for some bad weather today so they say. OK so the temp is suppose to be 75 which means no snow but I just found out that Feb to April is Tornado weather and we have a bad system coming thru this afternoon and tonight. I may have Kenny practice getting the mattress off the bed and into the tub just in case. I know nothing to joke about but it keeps me sane as I can't stand a thunderstorm just like my furbabies.

Oh what sad news.:( I really hope everything turns out ok. I want to meet everyone. Sometimes it doesn't pay to plan so far out. It appears that a year and a half out is to far out for some people to get excited about a cruise. Now that we only have about a year out now those who didn't care have changed their tune. ;)

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to a couple of posters whose SO/spouse has now shown some interest in doing the cruise after they said they didn't want to go. (Posters have already found another cruise buddy). My fault..I just wanted to avoid the wrong couple reference (SO/ spouse or just friend for that matter). I think I just stepped into it anyway. :o I should have started a new paragraph..may have helped.

Kathy, it's ok I understand now. That is one thing I will never have to worry about Kenny not wanting to cruise. I think he likes it more than me.lol Kenny always says he waited 19 years to have me and now refuses to let me go anywhere without him. That's my guy, he is such a sweetie.

We just finished the weekly chores. Kenny does all the floors and I do the dusting and anything else. He made over medium eggs with toast for breakfast and I did the dishes. We make such a good team. OK so we have not been retired long enough to get on each others nerves.:eek: Maybe tomorrow!!!:)
